I would recommend Ken to anyone looking for a good driving instructor. Ken began teaching me shortly after my seventeenth birthday. I was very nervous with no prior experience and found Ken's approach was excellent in introducing me to this new skill. My parents were pleased with Ken's teaching and reliability having been very disappointed with my older sister's instructor. Ken was very thorough at teaching and practicing all the different skills needed for the driving test, making sure I was confident before moving to the next stage. I would like to begin this testimonial by saying that Ken Bargh is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met and without his help I would probably never got through my driving test. I had previously started a course of driving lessons with another instructor and he had completely shattered my self-confidence and made me feel useless. I decided after 5 years that maybe I should start again, and it was such a relief to meet Ken, who put me at ease from my very first lesson. I found him to be understanding and extremely patient which helped me to gain confidence to go on to pass my test first time.
There was one particular problem lesson when I felt like giving it all up, but Ken talked things through with me and made me realise that I was not the only person to be finding things difficult. I found his way of teaching to be very straight forward and easy to understand.
There is no doubt that if I ever know of anyone thinking of learning to drive, I will definitely recommend that they give Ken a call. I only hope that he is still teaching in 5 years time when my daughter will be learning to drive.

After having spent several months learning and having failed one test with another driving school, I found Ken to be a very encouraging instructor. Although I already knew the basics when I started learning with Ken, he taught me a lot of pointers - that I had never been told before - regarding general driving. In addition, he gave me many tips and reference points when carrying out manoeuvres, which helped me greatly, as I had struggled with these previously. Ken was always punctual and accommodating, which is very helpful when trying to fit driving lessons in around a busy schedule!
As a result of his patient, encouraging and friendly manner, along with the advice he gave me on my general driving and manoeuvres, my confidence increased a lot and I passed my practical driving test. Consequently, I feel a much better driver for having learnt with Ken.

I have recently passed my driving test after a successful period of driving lessons with Ken. I have recommended him to many people as his relaxed and enthusiastic manner seems to work efficiently as I passed my driving test first time, receiving only 2 minor errors. I came across Ken's driving school whilst looking through the telephone directory and it was apparent from the first moment that I spoke to him that he had a 'passion' for driving tuition as he slotted me into his busy schedule. I would strongly advise anybody to take lessons from Ken, whether that be for beginners or more advanced drivers. Ken is also available for pass plus lessons and I have recently booked a pass plus course with him.

My name is Mike Lupson and I'm 21 years of age and I have recently passed my driving test at my first attempt. I started learning when I was seventeen with an instructor who I knew little about. After only a few lessons my confidence had been shattered as he was shouting at me and constantly putting me down. It got to the point where I never wanted to drive again, I was terrified of my lessons and decided to give up. About six months ago I knew that I needed to be able to drive, for work reasons, but kept putting it off as I was so nervous. Eventually, a close friend persuaded me to trust him and go with the instructor he had learnt with. It was then that I rang Ken Bargh. I can honestly say that if it was not for him I would never have been able to drive. Within a few lessons I was starting to gain confidence and begin to feel that I was not that useless after all. Ken was calm, friendly and very re-assuring, not once did he raise his voice at me, instead finding more constructive ways of helping me iron out my faults. I got on brilliantly with Ken and he made learning seem enjoyable and so much easier than before.
